I saw the first picture and thought that the tattoo was on your butt. I was thinking, is he REALLY showing us a picture of his butt on the internet? Seriously? Glad it was your shoulder instead.

For me the significance of the lion is two-fold. First and foremost I have always loved the symbolism of God as a Lion (C.S. Lewis, etc…) so for me it represents God as a permanent part of my life (also it looks across my back so I have God watching over me), secondly the “Lion Rampant” as this design is known is found on the Scottish flag, being half Scottish (my mother was a Campbell) this has family significance as well.
